Shipping Officer careers

A Shipping Officer organises transport of freight through a range of shipping services. You might process orders and manage paperwork or you might schedule shipping operations. A Shipping Officer, or Shipping Clerk, Freight Officer or Shipping and Receiving Clerk, might arrange shipping through an internal fleet of transport vehicles or liaise with external transport organisations.

Shipping Officers should be organised and have excellent problem solving abilities. It’s important that you can manage your time well and prioritise tasks when needed. Shipping Officers should be able to work as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues. You’ll need to be flexible and be able to manage several tasks at one time.
