Aboriginal Health Worker careers
An Aboriginal Health Worker provides a range of health care services to Aboriginal communities. You’ll work with other health care professionals to conduct health screenings or provide specialist services such as ear health, pregnancy care or diabetes management. Aboriginal Health Workers may liaise with elders or community members to provide information or educational material.
Aboriginal Health Workers should have excellent personal skills and be able to communicate well with their clients. You’ll need strong listening skills and should be able to understand patient concerns. Aboriginal Health Workers should have a strong understanding of Indigenous culture and be passionate about providing quality health care in Aboriginal communities.
