Automation Technician careers
An Automation Technician oversees the efficient running of automated equipment in a range of settings. You might work in a factory environment or at a manufacturing or assembly plant. Automation Technicians may assemble and configure new automated equipment or perform routine maintenance or repairs on existing systems. You might carry out inspections, testing and servicing as part of your role.
Automation Technicians need to have excellent attention to detail and be able to solve problems quickly. You should have a solid understanding of the equipment in your workplace and be able to perform a range of repair, maintenance and servicing tasks. It’s important that you can work as part of a team and manage your time well.
