Blocklayer careers

A Blocklayer lays blocks and bricks to create a range of building structures. You may use blocks to build large structures like residential homes or use them to create smaller projects like retaining walls or garden structures. Blocklayers often work from plans and specifications but may also come up with their own designs.

Blocklayers should have good teamwork skills and be able to follow instructions closely. You’ll need to be physically fit and able to manage the heavy lifting and manual labour involved in this type of work. Blocklayers require excellent attention to detail and should be able to manage their time well.
