You might liaise with industry representatives in the lead up to an event to determine their needs. Conference Managers organise details such as bookings, catering, guest speakers and staff. You might address any issues that arise during a conference and make sure all guests are catered for.
Conference Managers should have strong communication skills and be able to liaise with leaders from a range of industries. It’s important that you are organised and can manage your time well. Conference Managers should be excellent problem solvers and must be able to multitask. You’ll need to be a good leader and be able to work well in a team.
