A Dentist provides oral health treatments and procedures at a dental practice or oral health clinic. You might examine patients’ teeth and gums and diagnose any problem issues. Dentists may carry out teeth cleaning treatments or perform procedures such as fillings or extractions. Some dentists also provide some orthodontic treatments.

Dentists should have strong personal skills and be able to communicate with patients from a range of backgrounds. You’ll need to be patient and may have to work with clients with anxiety over dental visits. Dentists require strong attention to detail and good fine motor skills. You’ll need to be organised and able to manage your time well.
