EALD Teacher careers
An EALD Teacher provides instruction to students whose primary language is not English. You might help students develop their English skills or work with them on other curriculum areas such as mathematics. EALD (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) Teachers might work for a specialist language facility or work with groups such as school students, migrants or refugees.
EALD Teachers should be strong communicators and be able to work with people from a range of backgrounds. It’s important that you are patient and can understand the needs of individual students. EALD Teachers must be organised and have good time management skills. You’ll need to enjoy working with other people and have strong teamwork skills.
