Gardener careers
A Gardener establishes and maintains green spaces such as private gardens, community parks or landscaped public spaces. You might prepare an area for planting and create gardens with plants, trees and shrubs. Gardeners also care for established gardens by carrying out pruning, trimming, weeding and spraying. You might set up irrigation systems and attend to lawn areas.
Gardeners should be physically fit and able to keep up with the manual labour required in this job. You’ll need to enjoy working outdoors and be ready to work in all sorts of weather conditions. Gardeners may work on their own or as part of a larger team.
