Marriage Counsellors work with couples who are having relationship difficulties, helping them explore areas of conflict and find strategies to resolve them. You could be assisting a couple transition to the end of the their relationship, or supporting people who are experiencing grief and loss.
Marriage Counsellors are often employed at call centres, community clinics, and community service organisations — but many have their own private practice. To be successful in this career you’ll need highly advanced conflict, negotiation and interpersonal skills, plus a high degree of self-confidence.
