Stonemason careers

A Stonemason prepares stone blocks or slabs for a range of purposes, from kitchen benchtops to fireplaces or memorial stones. You might work with clients to design a product and select and prepare materials. Stonemasons cut and shape blocks and work with materials including granite, marble and other stone products. You might use hand tools or stonemason machinery during your work.

Stonemasons should have strong technical skills and excellent attention to detail. You should be able to communicate well with clients and liaise with suppliers and other industry professionals. Stonemasons should be organised and able to manage their time well.
