A Social Media Coordinator manages social media accounts on behalf of an organisation. You might be employed by the company as part of their marketing department or you may be engaged as an outside consultant. You’ll create content such as blogs or videos and post it on a business’s social media platforms. You’ll monitor social media accounts and respond to comments or queries.
Social Media Coordinators must be highly organised and stay on top of current trends. You should have a creative flair and be able to come up with unique and imaginative concepts. Social Media Coordinators need to be excellent communicators and should work well in a team. It’s important that you understand your audience as well as the marketing priorities of your organisation.
