A Wood Machinist creates individual timber pieces for specific purposes. You might build timber furniture frames or create wooden pieces designed for a particular purpose. Wood Machinists use tools and machinery to cut and shape timber and may assemble or fit finished pieces. You might apply varnish, stains or paint to your work.
Wood Machinists should have excellent attention to detail and strong fine motor skills. It’s important you can follow instructions and work to individual specifications.
