As an Intensive Care Paramedic you could be assessing an injured patient at the scene of a car accident, performing resuscitation and defibrillation on an unresponsive drowning victim, instructing an ambulance assistant at the scene of a dangerous incident at a worksite, administering lifesaving drugs, or just completing mandatory paperwork at the end of a busy shift.
Intensive Care Paramedicine is a very challenging occupation and to succeed you will need to be quick-thinking and level-headed, physically fit, and able to cope with the sight of blood and traumatic injuries.
