Store Manager careers
A Store Manager takes care of the overall operations of a retail shop or store. You’ll manage staff, set sales targets and oversee the store’s financial operations. Store Managers might work at a large department store or a small specialty shop. You’ll handle tasks such as advertising, promotions and hiring new staff. You may also deal with any issues that occur such as customer difficulties.
Store Managers should be organised and able to handle several tasks at once. It’s important you communicate well with your staff and customers and you must have excellent leadership skills. Store Managers should make customer service a priority, but you must also be able to handle finances.
