Strength and Conditioning Coach careers
Strength and Conditioning Coaches are specialist coaches who help their clients increase physical strength and body condition to improve athletic performance. They work with athletes from all types of sports and physical pursuits, developing personalised training programs while liaising with other sports professionals such as psychologists, nutritionists, team coaches, and physical therapists.
As a Strength and Conditioning Coach you could be assessing the core body strength of a cyclist, developing upper body strength exercises to assist a tennis player improve match performance, working one-on-one in the gym with a client to refine their lifting technique, collaborating with a football team coach to ensure that S&C training complements their cardiovascular exercises, or tracking race performance and evaluating the impact of the S&C program of an elite swimmer.
