A Ward Clerk performs a range of administrative tasks and general duties in a hospital ward. You might answer phone calls and deal with patient and family member enquiries. Ward Clerks might direct visitors to where they need to go and deliver items to patients’ rooms. You might attend to paperwork and update patient records.
Ward Clerks should be highly organised and have good time management skills. You’ll need good personal skills and should be able to work as part of a team. Ward Clerks should be good communicators and be able to liaise with patients, families and hospital staff.
