Medical Secretary careers
A Medical Secretary performs a range of administrative tasks in a healthcare facility. You might work at a hospital, at a doctor or specialist’s office or at another type of health clinic. Medical Secretaries answer phone calls and make appointments, handle correspondence and take patient payments. You might also deal with patient enquiries and liaise with other healthcare providers.
Medical Secretaries need excellent customer service skills and should have good interpersonal abilities. You should be organised, have good time management and be able to handle several tasks at one time. Medical Secretaries should be good communicators and be able to maintain patient confidentiality.
