Catering Assistant careers
A Catering Assistant helps with preparing and serving food and drink at various kinds of events. You might work with clients before an event to determine menu items and assist with ordering supplies. Catering Assistants help to prepare ingredients and may prepare simple food items. You might plate meals professionally and serve food to guests.
Catering Assistants should be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. It’s important that you can work quickly and adhere to food safety procedures. Catering Assistants need to have good organisational skills and must be able to prioritise their tasks. Good customer service skills are essential and you may have to work irregular hours.
